Polyethylene packets - To Be or Not To Be - that is the question for the «Polymer club»

The legislative initiative of a partial prohibition of polyethylene packets in Ukraine will be discussed at the 8th International business forum 'Polymeric club' on February, 15th 2012 in Kiev.  CUPI founders decided to hold this discusion after receiving a multitude of questions and complaints over the aforementioned bill.

Let's remember that this new iniative has been developed in the Ministry of Regional Growth, Building, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine. on January, 20th 2012, the text of the bill appeared on the Ministry's official website. Ministry officials want to impose partial restrictions on production, use and distribution of polyethylene packets in Ukraine.
Association CUPI demands a clear and open justification of the bill. According to some of the processing companies, this bill was lobbied  by certain commercial groups wishing to monopolize the market of specialized raw materials. Association's specialists have begun their own investigation into this matter. Association CUPI has offered the  polyethylene processing and trading companies a working group to discuss the existing bill . The Minister of Regional Growth, Building, Housing and communal services of Ukraine, Anatoly Mihajlovich Bliznjuk is invited to participate in a business forum. Polymer club will discuss which actions the Association will take against the legislative initiative of the Ministry officials.
